PIZZA MARGHERITA RECIPE Makes two 11-2-inch Neapolitan pizzas 🍕Ingredients: Neapolitan dough (2 rounds; 265 grams each) See: Neapolitan Dough Recipe Marinara Pizza Sauce (1/2 cup) See: Marinara Pizza Sauce Recipe 6 ounces Fresh Mozzarella Cheese ( cubed into 1/2 “ pieces) 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil 5 or 8 torn fresh basil leaves (per pizza) 🍕 PIZZA PREPARATION: Spoon 1 ladle of Marinara sauce over the pizza leaving a border around the edges for the crust. Sprinkle 2 or 3 cloves of crushed, finely chopped garlic evenly over the pizza. (Optional, not authentic, but delicious) Scatter mozzarella evenly over the sauce (amount to personal taste preference) Bake at 800 to 900 degrees, rotating every 15 seconds or so away from the flame for about 90 seconds to 2 minutes. 🍕FINISH: Take out of oven and place on a wire rack to cool for a minute. Place fresh basil evenly over the top of the pizza. Drizzle a little Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) over the pizza. . Drizzle EVOO over the outer crust. This will add color and flavor.
